Inspired by Design

Cocodots was founded in 2005 by a mom and Interior Designer searching for the best new styles to outfit her own daughter, Coco.  Laurel ended up sourcing her own fabrics and having dresses custom made for special events.  She soon realized that other style-conscious parents were in the same predicament... looking for something new without sacrificing quality or style.  So out of necessity (and inspiration) she began Cocodots!

Cocodots was an opportunity to expand the offerings in children's apparel, creating a brand that would combine a look that was both classic and fresh at the same time.  The first collection consistsed of styles designed to go from the beach to the boulevard, and in classic style!

Laurel and Coco live with their family in the Florida Panhandle, where Laurel continues to oversee the design of Cocodots apparel, adding new styles each season, as well as teach design classes at Florida State University.  Coco continues to be Cocodots' lead muse and style critic.
